This dog instantly shuts off his “police” switch when they get home.
We often associate law enforcement officers with toughness.
They certainly should be. They must stop the bad guys around us, and for this they will need all their strength.
The same can be said for the K9 dogs that assist these officers.
Most K9 dogs are large, hardy and very good at what they do. They can detect danger or a person who needs to be rescued from a great distance.
When it comes time for duty, Sonny is one of those K9 dogs that is always ready. Police Department Corporal Jason Frey is his paw.
According to him, Sonny was always ready to be on duty and go into “cop” mode. Sonny jumps into the squad car when he sees Jason in a police suit.
He admitted to The Dodo that he spoke out from time to time, and Sonny seemed to take notice. He could tell when Jason was happy or sad, and would often confront him (by barking, of course) to let him know he understood.
Sonny, on the other hand, immediately turns off his ”police” switch when they get home.
He turns into Reagan’s adoring older brother, his younger sister. Sonny was “the world” to Jason and Lainey, but that all changed when Lainey gave birth to their daughter.
They were amazed at how well she adjusted to having a baby at home. Sonny was patient and compassionate towards his little sister despite his strict “cop” mentality.
