This is the case of Rowdy and Dave. Dog and rabbit are the best in the world!
Luke Crouch and his girlfriend Alex live in Durban, South Africa. Dave, a 3-year-old rabbit, and Rowdy, a 2-year-old shelter dog, joined the couple one day. We can say that this quartet forms a wonderful little family!
But what caught our attention was the relationship between leporids and dogs. Their tender friendship will melt the hearts of thousands of internet users, according to Newsweek in an article published April 6, 2022.
Photos of the adorable couple are getting a shower of likes and positive comments. “Interspecies friendship is really valuable”, said a user on the community website Reddit, for example; “This is the healthiest thing I have seen in a long time”, wrote another.
As a rule, the introduction between a dog and a rabbit should be prepared in advance. Caution is required on D-Day, especially for the safety of lagomorphs.
As for Rowdy and Dave, a strong and unique bond quickly formed between them… though their owners still had to keep an eye on the duo at first!
“Rowdy followed Dave around the house when she was younger and Dave followed her”, Crouch explained. They became fast friends, but Dave occasionally slapped Rowdy when she got too energetic.
