Women quickly found a common language and made friends.
The 27-year-old Taylor-Daniel Parson met 81-year-old Iren Smith when she worked as a volunteer for the elderly.
Women quickly found a common language and made friends. Irene was widowed ten years ago and has been living alone since then.
And now, thanks to the new friendship, she has a “foster family” – a daughter, a grandson and three granddaughters.
She regularly comes to visit them, plays with them and gives gifts. And, of course, they are going to celebrate Christmas together.
Taylor Daniel wants to inspire other people with his example who also has the opportunity to do a good deed and invite lonely old people to their holidays.
Her husband, Michael Parson, supports his wife in this noble undertaking.
Irin Smith spent the last ten years in complete loneliness. Before meeting with her new family, she left home only once a week.
“Irina lacked the family environment, and when we met her, I immediately realized that I wanted to accept her in my family. I invited her to tea. Children loved her! It was reciprocity at first sight. Both we and Irene felt that she was one of us, ”says Taylor.
Communication with children gives her the strength to enjoy life again.
“Last year we had a wonderful Christmas. Children were eager to open their gifts, and to me too. And I really look forward to this Christmas.
I am already used to my family, to children, I feel like their grandmother. This year we will celebrate the holiday outside the city, in a large company. I am very excited!” Irene is happy.
