As the family got ready to let Nora go, Minneapolis Children’s Hospital asked the family if they had any ultimate wishes.
5-month-old Nora Hall suffered a catastrophic stroke that caused grave brain damage, writes ilovemydogsomuch.
It was later revealed that he was born with pulmonary hypertension. He did not live long. For the following three weeks, he was in a medically induced coma.
In 5 short months, Nora won the hearts of her two dogs, Basset Hound Gracie Grumpy.
”Grace, in particular, took on the role of a second mother,” Mary Hall told ABC News. “When Nora started crying, Grace ran to see what was wrong. He was always there for Nora, kissing her, making certain she was alright.”
As the family got ready to let Nora go, Minneapolis Children’s Hospital asked the family if they had any ultimate wishes.
Nora’s parents emphatically said yes. They wanted to know if their two dogs would be allowed to farewell to their little one.
”I asked, ’If you would let us have our dogs (in the hospital), we would appreciate it,'” Hall said.
”They lowered the bed so the dogs could sleep with her and Grace ran up and licked her.”
“It was truly good,” Mary said. ”It brought us a lot of comfort.”
Grace Grammy carries on comforting their family every day. Rest in peace, dear Nora.
