In India, residents discovered a stray dog in great distress and called for help.
From a poor dog stuck in a sewer, injured and unable to walk, Peas turned into a happy and healthy animal thanks to an Indian association that rescued her.
On one of the streets of India, residents found a stray dog in severe distress and called for help. According to Animal Channel, the dog was found in a well at the foot of the houses.
The poor dog couldn’t move. Dirty water flowed under her stomach, and she continued to tremble. No one knew how she got into this position, but her trials were coming to an end.
Residents alerted local association Animal Aid Unlimited based in Udaipur, Rajasthan (West India).
After calming her down, stroking her, the volunteers slowly pulled her out of the well, trying not to hurt her. It turned out that she had many injuries and she was extremely weak.
Then they took her to a shelter, where they found that she was breathing very fast because she was in shock. The dog was put on a drip and the next morning she felt a little better.
Veterinarians of the association were able to conduct a complete examination. Luckily, he didn’t have any broken bones, but her wounds needed to be cleaned and treated. In addition, she could not stand or eat by herself.
A few days later, the dog, which they named Chickpea, began to eat without assistance again. In the following days, she continued to progress. Now she could walk, run and play with her peers.
