It all seemed hopeless for the tiny cat, then a hero came to the rescue.
A small act of compassion can sometimes give someone in dire need a second chance. This is the story of a poor kitten who got into serious trouble after a heavy rain.
Everything seemed hopeless for a ball of fur, and then a hero came to the rescue.
Metin Keskin, a road worker from Istanbul, Turkey, saw a kitten being swept away by flood water while working.
When the kitten seemed to be motionless, the boy immediately felt that something was wrong. Despite this, Keskin rushed to his aid. So a kind person in the middle of the street grabbed it and started CPR on her little body.
The man told the Daily Sabah that he had ”passed out”. ”[He] was deafeningly quiet.” Since the kitten did not respond to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the boy breathed into his mouth several times and stroked his delicate body.
Fortunately, the efforts of the man did not go unnoticed for a long time.
A soft meow escaped the kitten’s mouth as Keskin gently shook the cat’s body, trying to force the water out of its small lungs.
This was a huge relief for Keskin, as well as for the crowd that had gathered to witness the spectacular save.
Whenever the hero found a cat showing signs of life, he rushed it to the vet for a full recovery. But wait, that’s not all.
“Now he has become our kitten,” the father told the local press. “I’m very happy”.
