This dog saved the parrot’s life and they became good friends.
Davila and her dog Hiro live together in Puerto Rico, sharing daily lives, taking care of each other and showing love for each other.
It can be assumed that the relationship between owner and dog was the limit of how far their empathy could go. But the dog still had a lot to teach his master.
The story told by The Dodo puts Hiro the Labrador on the doorstep one morning. His owner noticed that he was constantly looking at something in the grass. Nothing extraordinary. Dogs can be attracted to just about anything.
The difference was that as soon as he noticed his master’s presence, Hiro began to lick the grass. Then he looked at it and licked it again.
There was a tiny parrot in front of the dog. Not only was he only a few weeks old, he was especially small. Davila took the bird and brought it home.
During a visit to the veterinarian, they said that the little parrot had paralysis of the lower extremities. Most likely, he fell out of the nest. Due to injuries and lack of supervision, his mother decided not to try to raise him again.
