Dok Gaew is an orphan calf.
He was taken to a rehabilitation center.
Gaew was confused and scared. Since elephants are very sociable creatures, they have to live with their herd in order to communicate with other elephants.
Thus, the employees doubted how the herd would accept him. But they were pleasantly surprised to see the baby.
When the elephants heard Dok’s call, the whole herd rushed to meet him. Dok was in a cell, but that prevented him from trying to contact a new member of their extended family.
The elephants put their trunks through the holes, trying to touch the Dok.
Friendly elephants consoled little Dok, expressing their love to him.
