Zeta-Jones is currently a household name as she is one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood. Her well-known role is in the movie “The Mask of Zorro” and she is married to Michael Douglas.
When she moved to the United States from Wales, she was not much known by the people in the movie industry, however, when she was 27, she heard that Steven Spielberg wanted her in the movie of Zorro. After that, her life had a significant transformation.
Zeta-Jones made her debut in the cinema back in the 90s. She was offered a role in “Titanic” and that is when Spielberg noticed her and offered her the role in the movie Zorro.
A few years later, in 1996, during a Deauville Film Festival, she learned from Antonio Banderas, that Douglas wanted to meet her. However, their first meeting didn’t go as planned.
Douglas revealed in an interview back in 2016 that he ruined their first meeting by having used a corny pickup line.
As per E! News, Douglas told her that he is going to be the father of her children, meanwhile, she said that she has heard a lot about him and it is now time to say goodnight.
After an apology and a bouquet of flowers, the Hollywood power couple began dating. Although there is an age gap between Catherine and Douglas, who is the same age as her parents, they didn’t have anything against it.
They got married in 2000 and now have two children.
In an interview with In Style, she revealed that one time during her birthday, Michael and the kids went to the set to congratulate her. She said that it was a “special moment” for them all.
She also revealed that the movie didn’t just change her career, but “every aspect” of her life.
