This dog has used to pass 4 kilometers into the city practically every day.
Over the past twelve years, Bruno has walked 4 kilometers into the city, almost every other trip, just to say hello to his neighbors.
Bruno, namely Stray Dog, has been visiting Longville, Minnesota since childhood.
Larry LaVelle rescued him from the road after a passer-by mistook him for his dog 12 years ago, and Larry decided to adopt him.
Despite all the efforts of Larry, Bruno did not sit still and preferred adventure.
He had to get used to people calling him to say they had found his dog, only for him to tell them he was an “adventurer”.
He’s also used to Larry telling the man on the other end of the phone to let him go, which causes a lot of confusion.
Bruno differed from most dogs in that he could easily walk long distances on his own.
The people of Longueville have finally taught Bruno to notice when he walks.
The ice cream shop, city hall, bookstore, and various grocery stores and office buildings where he’ll be greeted with leftover meat are some of his favorite places.
He was so fond of the townspeople that he was given the title “city dog” and a magnificent statue was erected in his honor.
