Interesting idea: the owner showed how he always wakes up his blind and deaf dog

The owner showed how he lives with his deaf and partially blind cute dog.

Each dog needs a different approach, especially if the animal is different from its brethren. Such pets need not only to be trained in their own way, but they even need to be awakened in a unique way!

American Aidan Mann showed how he showed his deaf and visually impaired dog named Plum that it’s time to get up. She does not hear his voice, and his touch frightens her, so the owner found his way.

The owner showed how he lives with his deaf and partially blind cute dog.

American Aidan Mann became the owner of a miniature Australian Shepherd named Plum in June 2019. The dog at that time was 5 months old, she was deaf from birth and almost did not see anything.

Plum lived in foster care with Aidan’s colleague, and upon seeing her, the future owner “fell in love the very next second”.

I didn’t know exactly what I was getting by taking my cutie home, but I knew I loved her and I just wanted to give her a good life.

Plum became Aidan’s second dog.

5 years ago, the guy became the owner of a cross between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a Great Dane named Lola.

Naturally, caring for a dog like Plum is different from ordinary things.

Aidan spoke about Plum following his commands.

We have a sort of “sit” command – I touch her under the chin, and when I want her to walk in a certain direction, I just gently point her nose in the right direction or run my hand over her body in the right direction.

Aidan is often asked how he wakes up Plum.

This turned out to be one of the first problems Aidan faced. He tried to stroke her lightly, but even the softest touch frightened her. Then the man invented an even more cunning trick – he put a piece of delicacy under Plum’s nose, but it turned out to be not so effective.

But the perfect way has been found!

First, Aidan lays down in front of Plum and then blows lightly on her nose. The dog wakes up and immediately rushes to his beloved owner.

With such a caring and kind host, you don’t have to worry about Plum!
