A mistreated bear
A poor bear, forced to live the harshest existence a wild animal could possibly have, unintentionally rejoices in her moments of freedom.
The bear known as Cholita, who spent more than 20 years in a cage and endured the darkest existence possible, returns to her native environment in the great outdoors, and her amazement is astounding!
The struggle started when the endangered kind of bear, who is now 25 years old, was a kid.
Cholita was taken from her mother and eventually ended up at a carnival in Peru.
Since then, she has been forced to live in tiny cages, with the only time she is permitted to leave being when she performs for paying customers.
Even worse, she endured unspeakable torture throughout her time there. She still bears the scars of her difficult upbringing generations later.
The removal of all the animals occurred even before authorities realised that the circus was operating legally, giving the depressed bear some hope.
Since Cholita was moved from the circus to a park, she was unable to enjoy freedom, and it now appears that the mistreated animal has no chance of recovery.
But ten years later, everything changed when Jan Creamer, the head of Animal Defenders Worldwide (ADI), accidentally learned of Cholita’s story.
Creamer was driven to place her in a better setting and only gave up when the bears were set free.
Cholita was moved at an ADI rescue centre at first, and then she was taken to her final destination.
She might call the Taricaya Environmental Conservancy home because the area is well-known for being a natural habitat for spectacled animals.
