What a fantastic “dragons”
There really are people who can make a true piece of art out of the most commonplace, even basic objects. One of them is Igor Loskutov. He uses a chainsaw to create remarkable artworks ranging from spectacular dragons to massive animals, amusing pups, and vital chooks.
”He picks up a chainsaw, and the entire world comes to a halt with eager anticipation…”, begins the tale of Estonian woodcarver Igor Loskutov, who manages to make elegantly fragile creations with such a terrible instrument. What is the value of a single dragon-themed seat? A true work of art that has so many minute features and lines, all done with exquisite perfection, that it’s hard to believe it was created with nothing more than a chainsaw. The elegance sculpted from wood charms and astonishes the mind. What can I say – the artist is undeniably gifted, as seen by his works.
Gehard Demetz is an artist who like to work with wood. His work is primarily focused on youngsters. But not happy, as is so often the case, but furious, morose, and outraged… Truly startling sculptures that depict a wide spectrum of bad feelings have sparked a lot of debate and differing viewpoints.
