The golden retriever Ricochet was originally trained as a working dog and quickly earned a reputation as a ”wonderful puppy” as she immediately learned to open a door, turn a light on and off in a room, and even learned to wear loose clothing.
In the process, it turned out that Ricochet’s boundless energy, childhood love of drumming, and especially her passion for hunting birds made her too energetic and unpredictable to be a guide or assistant to people.
Luckily, her owner was able to find something for her hyper-happy pet.
Now Ricochet gives her all as a therapy dog, which sails the waves with children and adults in need of help, she is their assistant and their muse.
