A baby cow and a gigantic turtle
Humanity will never be able to match the animal kingdom when it comes to intimate connections.
Biodiversity has an amazing capacity for bridging gaps and creating unusual relationships among species.
Even though there are countless variations of these stories, each one is cuter than the last.
This particular occasion, a truly amazing connection between a young cow and an old tortoise went popular on social media!
When Leonardo and Simon first met, they were both good people in distress who were just barely saved by the Environmental Friends Foundation Bangkok (WFFT).
Leo, an African spur tortoise, was the first to come out after being rescued by a recovery team from a miserable life in a Thailand zoo.
Simon, on the other hand, was sent to this animal rehabilitation facility a few years later.
The unfortunate baby cow lost all of his legs in the event, but a group of compassionate people saved him from being killed and brought him inside.
The group had already begun looking for a location for him to reside, somewhere he would feel more at ease and safe. He had also acquired a prosthetic limb so he could move.
It was therefore hard to transfer Simon when he found comfort in an unconventional relationship. He met Leo, and it was pure love.
The two abandoned creatures seemed to be meant to be together, and even the staff at the centre was amazed by how quickly they clicked.
The lovely pictures show how close Leo and Simon are to one another. It’s very sweet to watch two different species of critters getting along so well!
