Bill Thorn, the director of the Regina Humane Society, revealed when the dog was brought by a volunteer to the shelter, he was very hungry which indicates that he was homeless. The dog’s name is Jax.
He has been at the shelter for some time now and despite admirable qualities, the dog was not adopted yet.
When anyone passed by him, he would bark from his place and the staff were concerned that this might scare away potential adopters. According to Thorn, Jax was a good dog and craved attention from humans.
Jax was ultimately adopted on March 3, 2023, and the workers of the shelter planned a farewell for him in honor of his departure. They had gathered in the foyer, but they weren’t ready for the dog’s emotional farewell.
