They say that you don’t choose the cat, but the cat chooses you. But that seems to be true for pets as well, and these statements have never been more relevant than in this scenario.
Bill Shaver was returning home to Missouri after a vacation in Arkansas when he stopped at a gas station for a short break. However, he had no idea what a pleasant surprise awaited him when he returned to the car.
Luckily, he left the car door open, allowing a stray dog roaming the neighborhood to find her and get inside without hesitation.
When Bill walked up to the car seconds later, he couldn’t believe his eyes to see the unwanted passenger curled up in his car seat. It didn’t take long for Bill to realize that the creature next to him needed help, as it was just skin and bones.
The kind man decided that he would not leave a lost puppy for anything in the world, after seeing how comfortable and protected he felt in the car.
Bill, however, wrote to his wife Angela before bringing her home, asking if she would agree to have a puppy.
However, knowing that her husband has always been a great pet lover and has saved countless animals over the years, the answer can only be yes.
When they got home, the puppy immediately became friends with Bill, as if they were always destined to be together.
Despite this, the dog did not dare to leave the car. Bill eventually convinced her and took her home, where she met the rest of the family, which included four more dogs and a cat.
And everyone welcomed her with open arms.
She was completely soiled. Bill then laid her on the bed on the floor next to the heater in our room. She spent the whole night there.
