What associations do you have when it comes to chickens? Maybe you think that this is not the smartest animal.
The owner of one of the farms noticed that one of his chickens, unlike his fellows, is a rather sociable bird. She did not sit in the chicken coop, but enjoyed walking around the farm and talking with other animals.
But one day she started acting strange.
The chicken stopped joining his owner on his daily walks around the farm, didn’t play with the animals, and was very quiet.
In the first days, the owner was not particularly worried, thinking that the pet would join the walks later. But even after a few days the situation has not changed.
The shocked owner noticed that the chick had not moved an inch from its nest. What with her? Maybe she got sick?
But as he approached, he saw that he was sitting as if he were watching someone. She may have been incubating, but she knew the hen didn’t lay eggs.
Cautiously approaching the chicken, so as not to frighten it away, he looked into the nest … and literally opened his mouth in surprise. In a cozy nest, the kids turned into kittens.
The owner decided that the farm cat was giving birth in the heat of the chicken coop, and for some reason abandoned the kittens. The chicken could not leave them to freeze, but warmed them as best she could.
The villager was happy. His favorite chicken was healthy and even so well showed his character and kindness, not dividing the kids into “us” and “strangers”.
