The British man was fined for buying a beautiful Bengal cat and holding her at home

Having received a cat, the owner was happy, she is the one he was looking for.

A man named James Brown from the UK risked buying a cat from a Russian organization but did not receive what he was counting on.

James is a big animal lover. For a very long time, the guy had a dream to get an unusual cat of an exotic breed. Brown decided to go in search of an animal on the Internet, where he came across a Russian company selling exotic pets.

Having talked with the company’s specialists, James finally decided on the future pet. The company offered him a Bengal cat, which immediately liked the customer. She was distinguished by an unusual appearance-short wool, exotic color, large paws, and ears.

The man agreed to a deal and began to expect his new friend. Having received a cat, the owner was insanely happy, the one that he was looking for. So he thought at first. But after a few months, James began to creep into doubt whether this is really a Bengal cat.

Some unusual changes began to occur with his pet, both external and internal. The paws and ears of the animal became great cats, and their behavior became somehow predatory and even aggressive.

Everything completely cleared up when the animal protection service contacted Brown. They sent James a summons to the court for owning wild animals. It turned out that the guy was sold not by the Bengal cat, but by Serval, a fir and a rare animal from the cat family.

In the UK, such an animal is allowed to be kept only in a cage, but not at home. In addition, for the import of Serval, a license was required into the country. And, since James did not know what kind of «cat in the bag» they slipped him, he violated all these rules.

One way or another, the court took place and, unfortunately, was not in favor of Brown. The man was fined 5,000 pounds, and the animal was taken to a specialized institution. To pay off, James almost had to sell his house.

This whole story especially surprised the city council, which was perplexed, about how Serval was crossing the border. This, firstly, is unsafe, and in addition, punishable.
