«Star’s struggle not to Starve» How Bad Investments Plunged Nicolas Cage into Financial Ruin

Nicolas Cage got into debt because of bad investments.🧐😳😳

Nicolas Cage, who is known for his Oscar-winning films, has openly admitted the financial difficulties he faced due to bad investments. Therefore, he incurred considerable debts.

To navigate these difficult times, Cage decided to take on roles in low-budget films, fully aware that these projects would not enhance his profile or reputation.

Referring to his financial difficulties, the actor said. “I invested heavily in real estate, but the market crashed, and I couldn’t recover in time. By the time I was able to pay it all off, it was about six million dollars. However, I have never filed for bankruptcy,” he proudly stated.

Lucky to have the chance to work and earn an income, Cage found he had to compromise his artistic principles and accept roles in lesser-known films directed by up-and-coming talent. He believed that work should be prioritized and not deviated from, even if the project may be less successful or satisfying.

Cage explained during an interview with ”60 Minutes”. ”Even if the film turns out to be disappointing, people know that I will not stop my craft because I truly care about my work.” He emphasizes the importance of admitting the circumstances for survival.

Cage even proposed alternative solutions, suggesting that studying insects as a food source could help solve global hunger problems. He is sure that overcoming fear and phobias of insects, could be a potential solution as they are high in protein, have low fat, and have wide availability.

In this way, Cage’s financial failures forced him to reevaluate his career choices and think over new ideas as he was going through difficult times.
