The parrot eats from a feeding dome so, as not to make a mess.đ„°đ€
As its owner says, this year Bruce will turn 15 years old. When being adopted 6 years ago, he was nine years old. He was tiny, hanging upside down in a cage, and reminded her of a cartoon character.
Kirmis also has five other birds at home, Bruce is the smallest but has the most character of them all. He flies quite fast and enjoys hiding in small spaces. He likes to sleep on the dish rack.
Bruce always liked eating and placed great importance on mealtimes. However, Bruce is a really messy eater and there will be a lot of cleanups when he is done eating. It’s not such a big deal when he eats vegetables because they’re easy to clean. The main problem is with the berries.
Bruce eats berries as an antioxidant. While eating he throws them everywhere.
Kirmis wanted to find a way not to mess up every time, so she decided to make him an eating dome.
”I remembered something I bought at the dollar store,” Kirmis said. I thought it would be great because it was a plant protector. So, I built a wood door and it fits perfectly. Easy to clean with just a little water.
Bruce now starts each morning by flying into his eating dome for his berry breakfast. It’s the first thing he does every day in the morning, and his mom is happy that she found a way for him to eat his berries without making a mess.
