Just a few hours apart, these lovely little pandas were born at the Madrid Zoo

Recently, a joyful event took place at zoo: a panda gave birth to twins.

These twins were born at Zoo, Madrid. The firstborn was born in the morning, after 4hours of labor.

The experts were watching the process closely, ready to intervene, but it was not necessary.

After the little pink balloon screamed for the first time, the panda carefully pulled it out and placed it on her stomach.

In the afternoon, the second baby was born. Babies will be dependent on their mother for the first 4months until they are able to walk.

The sex of them has not yet been determined.

This is especially valuable given the complexity of the population of this species, not only in captivity, but in the wild.

Giant pandas reach sexual maturity at the age of 4-8years. Pregnancy ends with the birth of 1-2 cubs weighing 90-130grams.
