Great joy in the American Park: two rare albino alligators were born here at the same time

Central Florida is one of the few places where visitors can see these rare species.

Albinism is not uncommon among wild animals, but it is hard for them to live in the wild.

Albinism is especially dangerous for alligators. Many of them have crooked jaws – their exposed skin is not adapted to their environment.

In May 2017, the company in Florida acquired a heterosexual albino alligator pair named Blizzard and Snowflake.

The male is slightly larger than the female, both have a light coloration not only of the body, but also of the eyes, which look like droplets of milk.

Now all newborns receive full care in comfortable conditions in separate terrariums.

White alligators can be not only albinos. Sometimes the cause is leucism.
