An emotional scene as this dog reunited with his owner.đ„čđ„č
This story proves that you never should lose hope.
Back in 2012, Stevie Rodgerâs two dogs Kavik and Konan were allowed to use the bathroom outside of their home in Scotland, but they managed to get past the gate. This started the chain reaction for everything that came after. Rodger cast a quick check about and noticed that they had strayed into a farmer’s sheep pasture.
The farmer fired shots toward the dogs Konan was killed, while Kavik was hurt.
The family kept looking for their dog, putting up signs and offering a prize but they came empty-handed with the search. They also made a post on Dog Lost in which they described where they last saw their dog and added two phone numbers so people could contact them. In the post, they mentioned that the dog is a daddyâs boy, and he wonât approach others when called. They asked anyone who sees the dog to call them and describe where they saw him and mentioned that the dog needs a veterinarian’s assistance.
The family grieved the loss of their other dog and thought that they wonât be seeing the other one ever.
However, after eight years, they received a phone call regarding to a possible sighting of the dog.
The father was very excited after the phone call and the next day he traveled four hours to meet his cherished dog. When they faced each other they knew all along that it was the dog and the dog recognized its owner.
In an interview with Metro, Stevie revealed that the dog kept coming to him and licking him as if it was yesterday that they last saw each other and he also revealed that he couldnât believe he would find his dog after all these years.
They slept together on a couch and the next morning went for a check-up at the vet. The vet discovered a tumor on the back of the dog and revealed that he is dehydrated and underweight. Despite the fact that the recovery will take a long time for the dog, the family revealed that they are up for anything.
The owner of the dog referred to the story as âa Christmas wonderâ during the interview. The whole family is overjoyed as they are finally reunited with their cherished dog.
