Elijah Wood recently surprised his fans with his latest disclosure. In an interview with WSJ., the actor revealed that he already has two children: a son Evan and a daughter, whose name he chose not to tell.
The news came as a surprise, as Wood had told anybody anything about the birth of her second child, nor had he mentioned that her partner, Mette-Marie Kongsved, 42, was pregnant again.
More than a year after the birth of her daughter, Wood decided to share this momentous event with the world. He expressed his utter joy and contentment in embracing his fatherly role, telling how fulfilling it is.
Wood noted that taking care of her daughter late at night when she was an infant was not at all difficult. Even now, he wakes up early to make breakfast for his children, and he loves that very much.
When asked about her decision to keep his daughter’s birth a secret and the lack of photos of the children, Wood explained that he didn’t think he is a public figure. He prefers to keep his personal life out of the public eye.
Even the news of Wood becoming a father for the first time also came after it was only revealed when Mette-Marie was seen without the baby bump.
Moreover, the actor’s relationship with Kongsved remained closed for a long time, and their affair was revealed two years after it began. They first met and fell in love on the set of the 2016 film ‘’I Don’t Feel at Home in this World Anymore’’, which Wood starred in and Kongsvedt produced. However, they revealed their status in 2018 when they were spotted together in Pasadena holding hands.
Meanwhile, rumors swirled that Wood and Kongsvedt were engaged, as she was seen wearing a ring that was like an engagement ring. However, Wood has not yet confirmed this yet.
