She decided that she could help him and began feeding him formula.
Katie Fuscaldo first saw her future pet Rokett, when the raccoon was barely a week. This happened in the courtyard of a woman: the baby who remained without a mother simply wandered along the grass.
Katie decided that she could help the animal, and began to take care of him, feeding the mixture.
Fuscaldo did not plan to hold Rockett forever. But Rockett herself decided that she did not really want to go into the wild. When the already vaccinated and fed raccoon was released from the house, he never went far beyond the limits of Katie’s court.
Now Rockett is friends with Katie’s dogs, she literally considers them to be her team for active games and dirty tricks. The raccoon still enters the house, and sometimes even sleeps with the adopted mother.
Katie Fuscaldo says: «We have a great relationship! She needed me as a mother. And I took advantage of this unique opportunity to get out and grow this wonderful creature».
She admits that before meeting her ward did not even think that raccoons could be so affectionate, smart, and cute. The young woman got an Instagram account dedicated to Rockett.
Now there are more than ten thousand subscribers, who, probably, also began to look at the raccoons differently.
