«Caveman in real life»: this man built the cozy house of his dreams in the cave

The father of two had to move nearly 80 tons of stone.

The nickname «Cave Man» Angelo gave journalists. The man fulfilled the desire of his whole life and left civilization.

The cave has 250 million years of history.

Earlier, he was the Director General of the Australian Personnel Agency. But he decided to «go underground» in Worcestershire and avoid the entire pressure of his profession.

The doctor told Angelo the terrible news that he once had multiple sclerosis. At first, the man was amazed and puzzled. But after he came into consciousness, he thought to himself:

«I want to live where I can be happier and healthier».

Before realizing their children’s ambitions, the father of two children had to transport almost 80 tons of stone!

Since Angelo Mastropietro was born and raised in Worcestershire, he was familiar with the cave.

Although it was once a residential building, since the 1940s it has been empty.

The oldest rocky dwelling, preserved in Europe until the 20th century, was then acquired by man.

In total, he had to make a little more than 62,000 pounds. Then the man began the time-consuming and expensive process of planning the cave.

Angelo spent a thousand hours on the finish of the cave.

Angelo was looking for refuge from a restless metropolis to improve his physical and mental health, but he did not refuse the amenities and temptations of our time.

Internet, electricity, and sewage-all this is in his house.
