Cat and girl’s friendship
He made friends with a young girl in Brooklyn, New York, when an orange cat showed up outside her house.
The friendly stray began returning when she started feeding him.
Late last month, when the cat came back with a wound, he clambered up the ledge and meowed for help.
He was saved by the little girl and her family, who took him to Little Wanderers in New York City where he received the required medical attention.
Carlton lived on the streets, yet he was as sweet and serene as a teddy bear.
He has tested positive for FIV and is thought to be at least five years old, yet this does not stop him from living a full life.
A seasoned foster care provider from Staten Island, New York, named Carianne came across Carlton’s story on social media and offered to help.
Due to kitten season and an excess from the previous year, all rescues are currently overrun with cats and kittens, according to Carianne, who spoke to Love Meow.
Carlton was nervous about the strange surroundings when he first arrived at his residential care, but his human companions instantly put him at ease.
He had a great heart and was a nice man, despite his rough exterior.
He is happy to be taken care of and overjoyed that he won’t have to worry about finding food or a place to live after leaving civilization.
