Carlton and Colt, a dog and a pig rapidly became the best of friends.
Animals never stop sharing their wisdom with us.
Animals make friends easily, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, or species in a culture where people often approach each other from top to bottom, using social position or other superficial considerations to establish trust and friendship.
Like Carlton and Colt, a dog and a pig who quickly become best friends.
“Their friendship developed by itself. Colt continued to look at Carl.
They jumped and ran together, even fought and frolicked in piles of leaves”, – Amanda Quick told The Dodo.
Amanda Quick adopted a pig after his original family abandoned him when they realized he was not a mini pig. Therefore, he will need a large open area to dig into the mud.
When Amanda saw the photos, she fell in love with him at first sight. She always wanted to have a pig as a therapy animal because she had the space for it and now she has her chance.
“As with my two rescue dogs, I hoped to rescue the pig and train it as a therapy animal. I recognized him immediately when I saw his adorable newborn face. That evening I drove for an hour looking for him”.
The only difference at the beginning of a beautiful story is that new companies have formed. When Amanda came to a singing lesson one day, she brought her pet pig, and Colt the dog became his soul mate.
Since then, Carlton has been waiting at the door on Mondays because he can tell when it’s time to go. Colt immediately starts jumping as soon as we enter Mary’s house, as he runs there from the car.
“They are still so happy to see each other every Monday, even after a few weeks,” said Amanda.
