The unexpected friendship developed between a Great Dane and a Chihuahua.
Differences in age, ethnicity, skin color, or race don’t matter when two people fall in love or become friends, and sometimes an illogical connection develops.
An example is the unexpected friendship between a Great Dane and a small Chihuahua.
The sweet bond began when Bianca, a little puppy, was adopted by Shirley Zindler, founder of the dogwood dog rescue organization in Sevastopol, California.
She had to be hand-fed because her mother died in childbirth.
In 2017, Shirley took in Shelby, who was abandoned by her previous owners due to vision problems. He had to endure four onerous procedures and the daily use of six different eye drops.
Shelby first saw Bianca when Shirley was bottle feeding her and staring at her the whole time.
As Bianca got older, the couple started spending more time together, playing games and going out more, highlighting their unique relationship.
Shirley told the Daily Mail that:
“Bianca is five and a half weeks old. Her mother died after giving birth, and the owner came to our rescue. When I first started bottle feeding Shelby from birth, Shelby just sat and looked at both of us”.
