Fortunately, caring people helped this deaf dog to flourish.
Pickle had a rough start in life. Deaf, he was abandoned by his former owners and placed in an orphanage. Fortunately, caring people helped him flourish.
At just 3 months old, Pickle was released at The Blue Cross, Southampton, England after losing his hearing.
His previous owners bought him from a breeder, unaware that he was deaf. According to Metro, the puppy was rejected by other animals in the house.
In any case, Acid is in very good hands today. When he arrived at the orphanage, he was shy and confused. He was taken care of by animal welfare assistant Kimberly Simpson.
Kimberly did her best to help her little protégé. She taught him various gestures, such as the outward palm to indicate that he should not move, or the thumbs up used to congratulate him.
By learning sign language, Pickle overcame his shyness and gained confidence.
After a difficult start in life, it was wonderful to see him so calm and happy,” the teacher explained.
Pickle has been blessed with a loving home she can trust. He was recently adopted by a Devonshire couple who lost a 17 year old collie.
Today, Pickle loves to cuddle and walk in the countryside as well as the beach. He quickly and perfectly adapted to his new life, joyful information.
His new owners use the sign language he learned every day.
