The Lancaster Humane League Association in Pennsylvania, USA contacted two litters of kittens.
The man who made the discovery explained that he was able to capture all the babies and the mother of one of the 2 litters, but could not find the second mother. However, the kids are in good hands. Macy’s cat was already taking care of the entire tribe.
Macy and 10 kittens were placed with Wilma, a Lancaster Animal Welfare League volunteer. “She has taken care of 10 since she arrived.
She is the mother of two litters of kittens at the same time,” Wilma told LoveMeow.
It’s impossible to tell which of the adopted kittens is a brother or sister because Macy doesn’t make a distinction. If at first the young cat was a bit suspicious, her fears quickly dissipated thanks to Wilma’s benevolence.
She settled into this new cozy and warm house. “It didn’t take long for her sweet and cuddly personality to emerge,” Wilma explained.
Breastfeeding 10 cats requires a lot of energy. For the first 15 days, the host family made a commitment to feed the kittens twice a day with cat baby bottles. Wilma was weighed every day to make sure all the children were well fed.
