Dogs can also surprise you in unexpected ways, as evidenced by the rescue of this pregnant dog that was found suffering in the streets in the heat.
Then 15 puppies came, surprising the rescuers with how quickly this dog family had grown (in a positive way, of course).
A dog was panting in the parking lot as Fikes was making her way to the store, and the dog’s fully developed belly indicated that she was carrying a litter.
She was dehydrated and underweight.
The mother dog was summoned by Fikes into her automobile, taken to Richie’s home, and made comfortable by being given food and drink and kept cold.
In order to make sure that everything was in order, they also took Lil’Mama to the doctor.
The vet stated the dog is healthy and prepared to give birth after removing roughly 20 ticks and giving it a much-needed flea cleaning.
He gave a range of estimates for the birth’s timing, from five minutes to five days.
Additionally, they found no chip, making it impossible to determine who owned the dog.
They therefore brought the pregnant mother home and made all the necessary arrangements for her puppies’ arrival. After Fikes realised Lil’Mama was giving birth, she stayed with them for an additional week.
