John Stamos has become famous since the 1980s having done some well-known roles in several high-ranked sitcoms such as “Full House” or “General Hospital”.
With his rich acting career, the 59-year-old has also had an adventurous love life. He was married to Rebecca Romijn in the 1990s and separated after 10 years of marriage. And the following years of the separation, the actor didn’t have any romantic relationships, although he wanted to find someone with whom he would create a family and settle down.
And that all came true for the actor, who met Caitlin McHugh, and after proposing to her in Disneyland, they got married and welcomed a baby boy in 2018.
With all the roles that Stamos has played during his acting career, the role of a parent was apparently the one that he longed for. Even from his role as Uncle Jesse, it was obvious that he had the DNA of a good father.
The 59-year-old has spoken about his desire of becoming a father many times in several interviews.
Stamos, after having started dating McHugh, revealed in an interview with ET, that she is gentle, and kind and that she can become a good mother. The couple dated for two years before the actor proposed in 2017.
The 59-year-old actor asked for the 36-year-old’s hand in Disneyland, which is McHugh’s favorite place. And following the engagement, Stamos shared about it on his Instagram page.
Although the engagement was something out of a dream, however, according to US Weekly, the day before the wedding, thieves stole jewelry valued at $165,000 from the hotel that they stayed in.
But thankfully the wedding day went fine. It was a magical day and the wedding took place on Valentine’s Day in 2018.
At the time of their wedding, the actress was 31 years old, while the actor was 54 years old. McHugh was already pregnant and she looked stunning in her white dress, while Stamos wore a black suit and tie.
Following the birth of their child, Stamos revealed to PEOPLE that he has always wanted to become a father.
