For the State of California, Alexandra Del Cima’s grandparents are very important to her, and all she wants is for them to be happy.
As a result, Alexandra couldn’t bear to see them so heartbroken when they lost their beloved pet over a year ago.
So she decided to fill that void in their hearts – or at least try – by taking another puppy and giving it to them.
On the other hand, there was no way she could have predicted her grandmother’s reaction to meeting a new family member.
“Last year, my grandparents’ last dog died completely unexpected and sudden”, she wrote on Twitter. “For months they’ve been begging for a puppy”.
Alexandra got a little puppy from a friend who had a litter of Maltese Shih Tzu puppies.
But she had to wait at least 8-9 weeks to take the adorable little creature home.
When the time came, the young girl wanted everything to go smoothly so that she could surprise her grandmother.
So she and her mother told her grandmother that they would pay her a visit.
They arrived with a box of “knitting and stuff”, a gift for her grandmother. However, the elderly woman quickly noticed that the box contained more than just knitting materials.
