A touching scene: a dog that lived in a shelter for a long time now thanks the person who adopted him

This unique dog is one of the most appreciative dogs ever.

The photos of all the abandoned animals waiting to be taken from shelters are horrific.

Kayla Fillone usually volunteers to walk dogs at ACCT Philly, an animal shelter in Philadelphia, and does her best to show the animals in her temporary care as much love and compassion as possible.

The 20-year-old student has seen many animals come and go and rejoice every time she is adopted.

But something about Russ, a shy four-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with kennel cough and skin problems, caught her attention.

Kayla realized that Russ had a difficult start in life. He deserved to be treated better. She spent more time with him than usual, and immediately realized what a cute dog Russ was.

He was sweet and obedient, but desperate for attention. “All he did was just sit and look at me”.

Kayla had other obligations to fulfill before helping Russ.

Given how much Russ loves love, she hopes the adorable photo will convince everyone to consider getting a homeless pet.

“I was worried that his attitude might change after I take him home. But he’s still the same relaxed guy. He’s one of the most grateful dogs I’ve ever seen”.
