A cat exhibits a strong will to survive
A kitten was found in her front yard by a kind neighbor in Las Vegas.
She found her siblings, who had tragically died, a few feet away.
The lone survivor needed emergency medical care, and the cat mom was nowhere to be found.
She was immediately accepted by Nikki Martinez, a TNR (trap-neuter-return) rescuer and foster male in Las Vegas.
For the past ten years, she and her husband, Foster Papi, have rescued and helped homeless cats and kittens.
When Nikki’s husband was given a cancer diagnosis, the two didn’t think twice about lending a hand.
Rocky, the kitten’s name, lived through her first night in the incubator with a full stomach.
Together, they worked nonstop to care for and feed the kitten while also keeping her warm.
When he could, Foster Papi helped bottle-feed her, and Rocky never failed to put a smile on his face.
At 24 days old, Rocky proudly left her nest and entered a small playpen where she could exercise her legs.
The little bundle of fluff, albeit still a little unsteady, was entranced by all the new toys and tried to grab them all.
After being discharged from the hospital, Foster Papi insisted on carrying out his foster duties even though he couldn’t wait to see his child pride and joy.
Rocky enthusiastically consumed the food after receiving a bottle from him. It was an amazing moment where two outstanding boxers supported one another.
