A 3-year-old boy and a bear
From his grandmother’s home in North Carolina, Casey Hathaway vanished. The family was clearly in distress. According to the boy’s family, he most likely made the decision to leave the yard where his grandma had left him to play.
They searched all around Ernul, North California, but they were unable to locate the child. Nobody believed they would discover him in the dead of winter when grandmother phoned the police.
Casey’s chances of survival were in doubt after the boy was missing for several days in a succession. Midway through January, it was extremely cold in North Carolina, and Casey was not equipped for it.
And then, miraculously, Casey was discovered in the tangle of shrubs. However, the intriguing tale of his survival was just as astonishing as his safe return.
According to the child’s aunt, throughout these two days he made a bear buddy that God sent to watch over him.
The Craven County Sheriff’s Office’s Major David McFadyen was also made aware of this intriguing tale. The child made a new friend in the forest, he told CNN. He made a bear his new friend.
McFayden added that despite the harsh circumstances, they were extremely fortunate that the boy was still alive and in good health.
The first night saw a 20-degree drop in temperature.
