It’s been almost 3 weeks since Justin the truck driver didn’t know anything about his dog Spiro. Chihuahua crusader disappeared in Saint-Étienne. One of the many people who mobilized to try and find him spotted him far beyond the scope of the search.
Justin can finally breathe; her dog Spirou has been found and they may be reunited today, Monday, after being deprived of each other for weeks. The happy ending is reported by France Bleu this Sunday, November 21st.
The truck driver is grateful to all the anonymous people who contributed to the study both on the ground and through social media. Starting with Miriam Martin, a resident of a town near Saint-Étienne, who recognized Spiro and took charge of his care, waiting to be reunited with her master.
The disappearance of this black-coated Chihuahua mix occurred on November 3rd. That day, Spiro escaped from a truck driven by its owner after an accident.
They were then on the side of Rue Jean Huss, near the Saint-Étienne section of the A72 motorway. The call for help was launched on social media, in particular on the Pet Alert Loire 42 page.
It was through the same post that the good news was announced in an update on Saturday. The dog was found 25 kilometers from here, in Saint-Romain-en-Jarèse.
The dog and his owner are reunited this Monday
Justin, who had to return to Beziers in Herault, where he lives, will return to the Loire on Monday for an emotional reunion.
Spiro feels good and longs to see his man again, who expressed his gratitude to everyone who came to his aid. “I was very, very moved to see this momentum and I would like to thank all Stéphanois. It took on an incredible scale, I did not think that people would be so devoted”, thus he entrusted France Bleu.
